3.75” Biba Bug

Sometimes the difference between getting looked at and getting bit is movement fish can’t quite figure out. Designed by Matt Becker, the Yamamoto Biba Bug features a unique gliding fall that separates it from traditional compact creature baits. The 3.75” Biba Bug uses flanges on each appendage to pull the tentacles together into a single surface as the bait falls, working in conjunction with the hollow body to produce a sliding back-and-forth motion every time the bait sinks, giving it a distinct hunting action. For added attraction, reverse-facing side legs quiver with the slightest movement, keeping the bait alive throughout the entire presentation. As the bait contacts the bottom, each appendage flares outward into a defensive posture, creating a secondary action that seals the deal on reaction strikes. Compact enough to penetrate thick cover yet active enough to get noticed, the Biba Bug excels around docks, grass clumps, and laydowns. When fish have seen too many ordinary flipping baits, the Biba Bug delivers the correct combination of fish-catching attributes they don’t know how to ignore.
