The Hoarder's Dilemma

Despite the fair amount of freebies and discounted goods I receive, I nevertheless shudder to think of how much I've spent over the years. It's no doubt thousands upon thousands of dollars that could've been put to better use, like building orphanages in third world countries or moving my retirement up a year or so. I justify the expense by saying that I do not use drugs, I do not gamble, I do not have a taste for expensive sports cars or art. Nevertheless, my bank account is not so flush that it couldn't use a little plumping here and there.
This is on my mind because I now belong to various Facebook pages for JDM tackle, swimbaits, and other equipment specialties, and every day I see people looking for things that I have in abundance. Things that I'll likely never use, or never use all of those that I have. For example, I've got a bunch of Jackall Blings still in the original packaging, and they seem to go for a pretty penny. I have old school Basstrix. I have PRADCO Pro Autograph Zell Rowland Spooks. With a minimum of effort, I could package them all up, put them into the marketplace, and have more money.
But what would I do with it? I'd likely just spend it on more tackle.
Besides, I'm convinced that the moment I get rid of a coveted item it'll come back to bite me, like the folks who sold their original Wiggle Warts, trashed their old school Bagley's, or misplaced their Ichiban Balsa Pro topwaters. It's not a risk I can justify taking. Therefore I will continue to sit on this mountain of tackle and resolve to figure out through on-the-water experimentation why a few of these items are so marketable.
