With This Reel, I Thee Wed

You might think that fishing at Anglers Inn is all about big basses, small cervezas and abundant carne asada, but you’d be wrong. The lodge’s little-known and best-kept secret is that it’s also an incubator of romance.
How do I know that? Because two of the couples we travel there with repeatedly have loved it so much that they’ve gotten married there. Our friends Duncan and Amber were the first when they tied the knot on the shores of El Salto a few Octobers back, and during our most recent trip our friends Aaron and Kristine likewise decide to cement their relationship in the shadows of the Sierra Madres. Despite the abundance of food and drink, just about all of us managed to save some room for a slice or three of delicious Mexican wedding cake.
I wouldn’t say that it’s a good place to go looking for love, because it’s mostly just a bunch of sweaty, hairy-legged dudes with a different type of spawning on their mind, but if you’re already in a relationship, it’s a superior way to take it to the next level.
So, if your partner is commitment-phobic or otherwise on the fence and it’s making you crazy, book a trip today.
